Basic Skills Necessary:

  • basic machine sewing skills as well as some hand sewing.
  • back stitch to decorate his little turtle shell

Pattern Description:

Dear little Ernst is one of life's dreamers (and a personal favourite of mine).
Make him in wool, felt or cotton, He is very versatile !
he has button joints (easy peasy ) that allow his little legs and arms to move and be posed.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 11 inches high approx.

Materials:

  • 10 inch (25 cm) fabric at 44 inch (110cm) wide for turtle body
  • 9 x 8 inch (23 X 20cm) for shell back
  • 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 inch (17 x 17 cm) for shell front.
  • 8 x 15 inch (20 x 38 cm) cotton for shell lining
  • 4 x (1/2 inch) 10mm four holed buttons
  • Dolls needle for button joints
  • Hobby fill
  • 2 x 5mm buttons for shell
  • DMC thread in Black
  • DMC thread to contrast with shell back fabric
