Pattern Description:

1912 Apron Dress

Knee-length dress includes a pleated skirt, adorned with sash that weaves thru the apron front and ties into a bow in the back. Dress buttons in back. Sleeves are 3/4 length and are embellished with velvet trim. The apron front and neckline feature contrast piping in the same velvet trim as the sleeve. Glass beads embellish the button holes.

Materials:

  • 1/2 yard of lightweight wool or suiting for dress and apron
  • 1 yard of contrast fabric (lightweight wool, suiting, or velveteen) to trim the sleeves, apron front and to make the piping.
  • 1/2 yard of silk or taffeta for the dress lining and sash
  • 1/8" cording
  • For Closure: 3 - 1/2" buttons or closure of your choice
  • Glass Beads for embellishments
  • Thread
