Pattern Description:

This tutorial is to accompany our patterns and to help beginners along on a very common, but to a lot of beginners, very intimidating process.

We made it free because we believe that most patterns do not devote enough time to in-depth explanations of how to insert a zipper and it is exactly what beginner sewers need. Our A-Line skirt, for instance, has brief instructions on how to insert a zipper, but this expands upon it and has lots of clear photos to help you.

You can take this tutorial, some zippers and scraps of fabric and practise your zippers without worrying about messing up your first project with a dodgy closure. We would LOVE to see how you get along.
