These booties are soft and sweet! They keep their shape very well. Fabric is fused to wool felt, fleece, terry, denim or twill fabric. Wool felt is available almost anywhere they sell fabric. Felt does not have to be 100% wool. It can be a blend. Acrylic felt can also be used (place a press cloth between acrylic felt and iron before pressing). Terry, twill or denim can be used instead of felt or fleece to make them more lightweight for spring or summer. Edges of booties may fray slightly but it adds to the charm of the design.
Booties have Velcro closures. Buttons are an embellishment and can be eliminated.
Booties are very easy to make - even for beginners! A pair of booties will only take about thirty minutes to make (although the first pair will probably take a little longer). We're sure you'll want to make more than one pair. You can use denim, linen, cotton, etc. for the outside of the booties. Sample booties have cream wool felt on the inside and ivory cotton velveteen on the outside.
This PDF e-pattern includes full size patterns, a materials list, instructions written in English, and step-by-step color photographs.
