I love designing and making quilts, especially folk and story quilts. All my patterns are easy to follow with step by step directions and photos. Every pattern begins with a quilt created and sewn on my table top machine. I want everyone who tries one of my patterns to enjoy the experience of quilting and the satisfaction of a finished project. If you ever need help or have questions, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I have a blog where I share the design process behind the patterns, MarylandQuilter.com. Come by and visit!
Bambi isn't the only fawn in the forest. This baby deer is a special woodland treat to have appliqued on a quilt or pillow. The pattern as sewn in the picture uses raw edge applique which frays when washed. This results in a rustic, folk look to the quilt.
The fawn including the dark blue surround measures 9 x 8 inches (23 x 20 cm).
The pattern is full size and can be used with fabric, felt, or paper.
Step by step directions are included to make a fawn quilt block. The block directions included in this pattern are different from the El's Super Duper Animal Quilt so if you want to make that quilt, you should purchase the complete quilt pattern instead. There are 6 different animal blocks in this project with 3 repeating animals to make 9 blocks total. The entire quilt pattern with all 9 blocks is also available and the other 5 animal patterns can be purchased separately.
