I needed something to hold items near my sewing machine, items that tended to get scattered, covered up and generally lost when I got deep into a project. Cups were used, but they were limiting. As a nurse, I was always interested in organization and streamlining. I love pockets of all sorts, had already designed the Jitter Bucket and designed a cover for a mug.
This mug organizer pattern has 8 outside and 6 inside pockets and fits over a regular size coffee cup. The pattern allows for enlarging for the super-size mug. This cup cozy will hold pens, markers, scissors, small rotary cutters, and other quilt items. It makes a great two hour class and is a great gift item for teachers and friends. .
I am a retired nurse who has always been interested in and successful at organizing and streamlining systems. I am also very interested in recycling and reusing items that would otherwise clog our landfills.
