Pattern Description:

The Crossover bib is very easy to make. The bib is reversible - either side can be used for the front. It can be made for a girl or a boy (using different types of fabric). The crossover styling gives the bib double padding so it's very practical - no spills will get through to baby's clothing. The bib will wash and wear well. The bib can be embellished with optional buttons or ribbon bows.

The bib can be made from four different fabrics so the front and back have two completely different looks as shown above. The bib can also be made from two different fabrics - the same fabrics will be shown on the front and back of the bib but they will be in reverse order (photos of bibs made from two fabrics are on the fourth page of the instructions).

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

It measures 8 1/4" wide by 8 1/2" in length. The length of the bib is 6 3/4" under the neck.

Materials:

Light to medium weight cotton print fabrics for bib made from two fabrics - two contrasting 9" x 20" rectangles
Light to medium weight cotton print fabrics for bib made from four fabrics - four contrasting 9" x 10" rectangles
Fusible fleece or firm cotton batting - one 9" x 20" rectangle
Extra wide double fold bias tape - 2 1/4 yards of a contrasting color
Sewing thread - same color as bias tape
Optional buttons (any size or amount), 20" piece of ribbon (any width) for bow to embellish crossover on bib, or 8" piece of 1/4" to 3/8" ribbon for leaves on button flower
