This basic sewing project tutorial is a 10 page tutorial that has many pictures with text instructions. The tutorial also includes detailed processing instructions for the recycled feed bags. Pictures in this tutorial are of the actual making of the tote by Maggie. The multiple pictures and text on each page explains in great detail how to make this useful durable tote.
This big beach tote or grow bag is about 18" x 18" x 26" finished dimensions. It is made from plastic woven feed bags. Outside it makes a great carryall for going to the beach, or by the pool to toss all the kids or pets wet toys into. It can also be used for raked up leaves to carry to the compost pile. A couple years ago I donated two for our county Cooperative Extension children's demonstration garden to grow potatoes in. Keep in mind if left in direct sunlight for long periods the graphic film will delaminate from woven inside layer of feed bag. Inside uses are for storage of Christmas decorations in the attic, or storage of bed quilts; hang tote from a hook by the handle or stack on top of one another in a closet.
You get additional document with download that explains how to use this bag as a grow bag, growing potatoes in it.

I enjoy giving a new life to items that have outlived their usefulness; such as feedbags and coffee bags upcycled into totes; make broom handles into looms then weave rags into rugs. I volunteer at several local organizations where I serve on committees, participate in projects, and teach. I have many hobbies but weaving became my obsession when I realized I could take a discarded broom or mop handle and make a simple backstrap loom that I can weave many useful and beautiful item on, such as rag rugs from discarded textiles, i.e. t-shirts, sheets, old clothing. I enjoy learning and sharing knowledge about handcrafting and sustainable living. I up-cycle materials to promote awareness for recycling through maggiescornerdotorg with all proceeds dedicated to operate the recycling and education efforts. Join me or start your own upcycle group in your town to recycle, reuse, re-purpose, and educate others. I also have tutorials showing how to salvage material such as coffee bags, feed bags, then layout, and sew the material into useful items such as carryall shopping market totes and handbags.
