I grew up in an antique shop surrounded by lovely vintage clothing and I guess vintage just stuck. I took my passion for sewing and vintage lingerie and combined them into a vintage inspired pattern line offering hard to find pattern styles in digital form.
You can find many more patterns at my website, MrsDepew.com.
Please Note: There are no returns on digital patterns so please read the item description carefully before purchase.
This is a digital draft-at-home pattern for a stunning French bra based on a 1930's style. This bra pattern is perfect if you have trouble finding bras that fit right. You will be able to draft a perfectly fitting bra with this pattern!
The 2nd photo shows one version of how this pattern can be sewn (omitting a center front seam by cutting the front on a fold).
The pattern was recently part of a Sew-Along on our blog A Few Threads Loose, which features step-by-step sewing instructions and photos!
The design has been converted to use a measuring band pattern drafting system fairly similar to the Lutterloh golden rule patterns. You will be able to draft a pattern to your exact size from the miniature pattern template and specially designed rulers. The difference for this system is that there are several rulers instead of just one. To scale any of these special patterns from doll to children or adult sizes is easy. Rulers are available to draft the pattern as small as an 18" chest to as large as a 56" chest and the pattern will be scaled perfectly every time.
ALL RULERS ARE INCLUDED AS PRINTABLES WITH THIS PATTERN.
The pattern includes basic markings and notches that show you how they fit together, and indications such as dotted lines for cutting on the fold. I have included several pages of drafting instructions that I have translated from the original French personally. The illustrated instructions show you how to easily draw your pattern pieces from the miniature pattern template using your special ruler.
Please note: The pattern DOES NOT include any sewing instructions. To sew these, you should have a basic understanding of how pattern pieces should fit together. The pattern pieces are illustrated in such a way that you can see how they are supposed to be sewn to each other.
DIFFICULTY LEVEL: These patterns might be a bit difficult for the beginner but an intermediate level home seamstress will most likely have little trouble.

What you will need:
Paper (I use large tracing paper but butcher paper, muslin fabric, wrapping paper etc all work great!)
Fabric: this pattern requires approximately 1/2 yard fabric.
It's that simple! No special tools are required!
