This pattern appeared in the October 2011 issue of Create & Decorate Magazine! A fun and homey table decoration, that requires minimal sewing skills, and incorporates felted wool and those fun yo-yos! The pattern includes complete instructions and diagrams and a materials list. Sizing / Finished Measurements:

Finished table mat measures 16" in width and height.

Materials:

Two 11" square pieces brown or green felted wool
Felted wool in various shades of golds or oranges. You'll need the equivalent of two fat eighths, or four fat sixteenths of wool
1/2 yard 44" wide dark brown plaid cotton homespun, or other brown-toned fabric.
Embroidery floss to match your backing wool; either brown or green.

You Will Also Need:

Brown quilting thread, freezer paper, iron, straight pins, sewing needles, scissors, sewing machine.
