Pattern Description:

This unique pincushion will keep your thread, needles and pins all conveniently in one place. Four sizes of pincushions are included to accommodate different size spools of thread. So easy you'll want to make one for each size spool you have. Small - 5" diam; Med - 7 1/2" diam; Large - 9" diam. Pattern includes instruction for multiple spool sizes including Coats & Clark, Mettler and Gutermann.

Materials:

Two coordinating fat quarters (18" x 22"), this is enough for the optional second circle.
Two 38" strips of contrasting bias fabric for bias binding or purchased 1/4" bias binding tape
Heavy cord (it doesn't need to be thick, just strong)
Blunt end needle for heavy cord
Small pincushion holds six spools of Coats and Clarks (125 yards)
Medium pincushion holds eight spools of Coats and Clarks (250 yards)
Large pincushion holds eight spools of Gutermann (110 yards) or eight spools of Mettler (164 yards)
Extra Large pincushion holds eight spools Gutermann (274 yards) or eight spools of Mettler (574 yards) or older Coats and Clarks spools
Polyester stuffing or other stuffing material
Chalk pencil
Tracing paper and pencil
Two 3/4" buttons for small and medium versions
Two 1" buttons for large and extra large versions
Optional: Clover 1/2" Bias Tape Maker Simplicity Bias Tape Maker and Rotary Cutting Machine Perle cotton floss and a large eye needle for section embellishment
