Designs included: Quilted Pocket Placemat, Dinner Napkin, Quilted Java Mug Rug, and Quilted Potholder. These finished products make wonderful gifts for friends and family that admire handmade gifts...not to mention yourself!

This pattern is a LEVEL 5.
Level 5 is for the advanced seamstress who can conquer any project that she puts her mind to!

  • PLACEMAT 20" x 15"
  • POTHOLDER 7" x 7"
  • MUG RUG 6" x 9"
  • NAPKIN 17" x 17"


  • Rotary cutter
  • Quality cutting mat
  • Water-soluble fabric marker
  • Iron
  • Ironing board
  • Quilters safety pins
  • Sewing Machine

You Will Also Need:

  • FOR POTHOLDER: 1/4 yard of fabric (100% cotton) OR 1 Fat Quarter; 1/8 yard of fabric (for the binding); 1/4 yard of InsulBright batting; 1/4 yard of regular batting
  • FOR MUG RUG: 1/4 yard of fabric; 1/8 yard of fabric (for the binding); 1/4 yard of batting
  • FOR NAPKIN: 1/2 yard of fabric (100% cotton lawn, muslin, or other light and airy fabric)
  • FOR 2 PLACEMATS: 1 yard of fabric (100% cotton) plus enough scraps for (20) 5 1/2" squares of fabric; 1 yard of batting
  • . . . and of course matching threads!
