Pattern Description:

Originally designed for a STITCHED blog hop, this fun oven mitt is quick to make up and makes a great gift!

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • one mitt fits an average size hand, enlarge 20% for bigger mitts!


  • 1 fat quarter for the outside
  • 1 fat quarter for the inside
  • Cotton batting, approximately fat quarter size (18″ x 22″)
  • Hobbs Thermore Batting or another batting made specifically for potholders, etc., approximately fat quarter size (18″ x 22″)
  • 2 1/2″ x 18″ strip of fabric OR a scrap of quilt binding

You Will Also Need:

  • thread
  • water soluble glue
  • fabric scissors
  • paper scissors
  • fabric snips
  • sewing machine
  • heavy duty sewing needle
  • free-motion foot (optional)
  • walking foot (also optional, but very useful!)
  • dowel rod, any size
