This is brilliant for a child's bedroom, great for keeping little shoes up off the floor and in pairs but suitable for any of the million things that kids seem to accumulate
The body of the organiser is made from two fat quarters of printed cotton and we have used scraps of fabric and felt left over from another project for the heads. We have included in the pattern heads for Rosie Ragdoll and Robbie Robot but you could customise them to create your own head e.g. a guardsman, a princess or even a monkey!
Save - you could save money by making this from left over fabrics, curtaining, tablecloth, tea towel, you could use buttons,or even card for the eyes and features and glue them on as this is not something that would be regularly thrown in the washing machine.
Splurge - Invest in a fat quarter of the child's favourite cartoon or Disney character there are many on the market but they do cost a little more. If you are including this as part of a larger project such as redecorating order additional curtaining and make it to match. You can also buy 'wobbly eyes' from craft suppliers if you want a more realistic look.
For the rag doll you will need.
Face fabric 0.25m of 45", ball of wool for hair, Scraps for hat
fabric and lace 1 metre (for edging the hat and the neck
ruffle), 0.5m ribbon and a fancy button.
For the robot version just head fabric. 0.25m of 45" and scraps for features.
