Seeing a clever folding fabric bread basket at a friend's house inspired me to think how lovely they would be made from upholstery fabric sample book pages using coordinated fabrics to form a reversible basket.
Being French, my friend called her basket a panadire; but they're very versatile.
Use one on your dressing table to hold pretty perfume bottles or as decorative accents or clutter catchers around the house.
One nice thing about these bread baskets is that they lay flat for storage. Also they're very easy to clean.
They're surprisingly easy to sew because the stiff inner layer forms a guide for your sewing needle resulting in very straight seam lines and perfect right angles.
