Basic Skills Necessary:

  • You should already know how to use scissors and hand sew a basic running stitch.

Pattern Description:

The following tutorial shows you how to fashion a chic and unique bowl from a few denim scraps, some fabric stiffener, and the metal juice lid from a frozen concentrated fruit juice container. Use your sweet fabric bowl to store small craft supplies or to catch your change and keys at the end of a busy work day.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • The size of a soup or dessert bowl.

Materials:

  • 2 largish scraps of denim ( 14" x 14") in two shades
  • circle template or round object like a plate
  • pair of scissors
  • cotton embroidery string (size 10)
  • large-eyed needle
  • fabric stiffener like Stiffy
  • soup or dessert bowl
  • metal juice lid
  • pencil or chalk
