I have always loved beautiful fabric and interesting shapes. For the last several years I have been creating original design purses, scarves, and fabric bowls using fabric that is fun as well as functional. This has allowed me to combine my passion for sewing with an appreciation of artistic influences from around the world. My most recent venture has been repurposing vintage crochet pieces and antique handkerchiefs or well-loved jeans or t-shirts into individually designed bowls, baskets, or mirrors. Born in New Jersey, I worked for several international companies in the New York area, traveling extensively in Latin America. In 1988 my husband and I moved to Pittsburgh where we raised two daughters, and I volunteered in the Pittsburgh Public Schools.View all patterns by designer (17) »
This pdf format pattern is for a set of 3 original design fabric bowls. These bowls fit into a fat quarter (18" x 21" piece of fabric). Two contrasting pieces of fabric are used which make the bowls reversible. Other materials required are very heavy interfacing, embroidery thread, and ribbon (or other decoration for wreaths)..
These unusual Christmas-themed fabric bowls are a perfect holiday decorating accent. They are ideal for holding bread and rolls, snacks, cookies, candy canes, or any Christmas item. They are perfect for gifts, either by themselves or filled with goodies.
They are fun to make, and can be embellished with decorative stitching, trim, beads, etc.--whatever you like to add as your own special touch.
The pattern contains complete written instructions with photographs as well as actual size pattern pieces.
