Pattern Description:

Actually....I purchased a jacket that was knit and VERY expensive, which had this darted collar. THAT was the inspiration for the Darted Collar version. The Portrait Collar version features a heavier, like a home decorating weight fabric. I use a sweatshirt as my 'fabric' and matching ribbing (used creatively) as my base, but you could use ANY double knit fabric for the base. The pink jacket was embroidered with a home embroidery machine all over the fabric once the sweatshirt was cut all apart. A 'Talking Pattern' is my invention of a website (URL given inside the PDF pattern) where you see a colored photo of absolutely EVERY step of the design and creation of these jackets PLUS my personally-recorded audio directions telling you what to do (or NOT to do) in that step. Of course, the most important photos are included in the PDF pattern along with awesome written directions.

Sizes Small - 2XL included on the pdf pattern pieces

Materials:

Good quality sweatshirt 80% cotton 20% polyester as the USA Comfort Color brand I sell at my website; www.londas-sewing.com, either 3/4 yard of a knit fabric or 1 1/2 yard of a woven fabric, 3/4 yard for binding/trim, 3 smaller or 1 large button, jumbo plastic snaps, interfacing for the Darted Collar (grey, pink and brown) jackets. For the Portrait Collar (blue) jacket: 7/8 yard of fabric, 1/2 yard accent fabric, and five 3/4" to 1" buttons.

You Will Also Need:

Polyester thread, monofilament thread, Straight Grain Fusible Stay Tape (sold at my website), decorative yarn for couching as trim.
