Actually....I purchased a jacket that was knit and VERY expensive, which had this darted collar. THAT was the inspiration for the Darted Collar version. The Portrait Collar version features a heavier, like a home decorating weight fabric. I use a sweatshirt as my 'fabric' and matching ribbing (used creatively) as my base, but you could use ANY double knit fabric for the base. The pink jacket was embroidered with a home embroidery machine all over the fabric once the sweatshirt was cut all apart. A 'Talking Pattern' is my invention of a website (URL given inside the PDF pattern) where you see a colored photo of absolutely EVERY step of the design and creation of these jackets PLUS my personally-recorded audio directions telling you what to do (or NOT to do) in that step. Of course, the most important photos are included in the PDF pattern along with awesome written directions.

That lead to a major in Home Ec., managing a craft store, custom dressmaking - running my own fabric store/machine dealership from 1990 - 2003, and now I travel the country presenting my classes on creative sewing at sewing ...

I have a website: www.londas-sewing.com, blog, facebook, pinterest - all that good stuff and try to do it all - but well. Goal: sharing the love of creative sewing!
