My youngest daughter was born with sensory issues. I also had this great desire to not only learn to sew but then to learn to design. She is my heart and inspiration for my patterns as I design clothing and outfits that feel comfortable to her and are user friendly. I absolutely love the designing aspect and have met so many wonderful people in the crafting world that have encouraged me!View all patterns by designer (13) »
This super comfortable easy to sew pattern is great for both beginners and the experienced seamstress. I created it as I was looking for something with some room to layer over tees and long sleeves for the cooler weather but could still be worn alone come this spring and summer. The bodice is made of knit fabric, and even if you have never used knits before there are lots of tips to make it easy peasy! Can be made entirely of knit or a combo of knit and woven fabrics. It does require cute 1" ric rac at the top (however this could easily be omitted) and a little elastic thread. All strap measurements and button or snap placements have been figured out for you. No need to measure the child. Lot of options from contast bands and ruffles or just the skirt and you choose if you want it to be snaps or buttons! No straps to slip off the shoulders as this criss crosses across the back and no knots to deal with either! Can be made with or without a serger and lots of tips on how to do so. Make it a sweet little dress or a fun little tunic. Sizes 18m to 12 included as well as a chart to compare chest measurements.
