I wanted to create a shirt to match the capris that I made for my daughter...something quick and easy, and used what I had left over from making the pants.
This project is great for brightening up a plain t-shirt or to cover up stains on a well-loved, favourite shirt.

I have been sewing ever since I can remember. I started by making capes for my brother's and my Star Wars action figures. They were nothing more than a square of fabric with a bit of elastic crudely hand-stitched on, but they instilled the sense of pride and accomplishment that comes from creating something that is still with me today.

I believe that kids' clothes should be unique, comfortable, and beautiful at the same time. And every piece should bring back that old feeling of accomplishment -- of creating something beautiful with your own two hands.
