Harem pants are wonderfully cute and comfortable. They can be made using any stretch fabric. Cotton jersey, fleece, minky or velour make excellent choices, with cotton ribbing being the best for the waist and leg cuffs. An overlocker will give you a neater finish, but a regular sewing machine will work just fine, and I include instructions for both. The pattern is for long pants, but once you get the hang of it they can easily be adapted to make short like Jack is wearing in this picture!
This is a very easy pattern to use, the only slightly tricky part if you are a complete beginner, is sewing with stretch fabrics. But don't worry, I give you lots of hints and tips.
