Mom taught me to sew - then put me on a clothing allowance: $25/MONTH - but that was back in 1966. The ONLY way I could satisfy my clothing appetite was to make it myself. That lead to a major in Home Ec., managing a craft store, custom dressmaking - running my own fabric store/machine dealership from 1990 - 2003, and now I travel the country presenting my classes une, 2016, I'm operating more out of my wonderful home Sunroom Sewing Studio in Jackson, TN. . I have a website: www.londas-sewing.com, blog, facebook, pinterest - all that good stuff and try to do it all - but well. Goal: sharing the love of creative sewing!View all patterns by designer (15) »
These 2 jacket designs are based on the concept of a unique center front design. The 'SWIRL JACKET' features an added underlap. The 'WEDGE JACKET' is an angular design created by adding a 'wedge' at the right front edge of covered polar fleece. The lower ribbing is utilized for a neck-hugging collar and left front finish, and a VERY long length is achieved by adding yokes cut from polar fleece.
As proven with the black SWIRL JACKET, these designs can easily be executed out of a full-bodied double knit as well as a top quality sweatshirt as the base.
