Okay, I just wanted you to know I'm a little miffed at you. Here's this adorable dress, and it doesn't come in grown up size? Oh the inhumanity! ;)

I'm a very novice sewer, but am really wanting to up my game. And I have a 6 year old daughter that would flip if I could make her a dress like this. However, I've never made anything with buttons or elastic and I'm still new to zippers. And I've never used a pattern. Based on this info, am I still skilled enough to attempt this?

I would definitely try out buttons & buttonholes on scraps first before attempting them on your newly created dress :) This dress only has buttons as closure, no zippers or anything scary! This pattern has been tested by beginner seamstresses with success! There are very thorough step by step instructions and we have a very active sewing community on Facebook, found here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/CandyCastlePatterns/ - this community is solely for our patterns, inspiration, guidance and help :)

You know it works great with snaps. I put large snaps rather than buttons and buttonholes. I just sewed button's on the outside to add personality to the dresses. You can always try that if you don't want to add the buttons and risk damaging something that looks great.

This pattern is a MUST have. You'll never need another one to make princess dresses. It is soo easy to make and the step by step instructions are very well written with lots of pictures. It took me 2 hours to sew it all together. No matter what fabric you use, it will look gorgeous and our little one will love to twirl in it! I already have fabric for another 4-5 dresses, That's how quick they come together. You won't regret!
