I am a proud wife and momma of a son and daughter. I became a stay at home mom two years ago after my daughter was born. When I am not spending time with my family you most likely will find me in a fabric store. I would rather shop for fabric than shoes! My friends must think I am crazy!
I come from a long line of women who love to sew. My great grandmother’s quilts are still treasured to this day. My mother made all of my dance costumes when I was a child. I feel so fortunate to have been taught the skill of sewing. Who would have ever thought it would become a lost art form?
Now that I am an adult, I have come to realize that my most prized possessions are handmade items that were made for me or that were passed down to me. I hope that one day my children feel the same way about the items I make for them. I feel an enormous amount of pride that I can make something for someone that has not come from a store. A gift, I know was quality made and will last a lifetime.
