Pattern Description:

This pattern was inspired by a random gift I received from a friend. She had come upon a number of swatch books and passed them along to me. I wanted to find a creative way to repurpose the swatches and this clutch wallet was born! It is a great way to repurpose home dec swatches or use up any kind of woven fabric scrap. I always have a lot of fun figuring out how to best combine fabric scraps for the inside of the wallet.

The wallet has ten credit card slots (and multiple cards will fit in each slot) and three cash/coupon/ receipt pockets. The outside of the wallet features a zippered change pocket. The wristlet attaches with a swivel lobster claw hook. The wallet is big enough to accommodate an iPhone or other smart phone and a checkbook. The wallet closes with a zipper. The wallet is reinforced with interfacing to give it better structure. This wallet clutch measures 8" (20 cm) x 4.5" (11 cm). The opening on the wristlet measures 8.5" (22 cm).

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • This wallet clutch measures 8" (20 cm) x 4.5" (11 cm). The opening on the wristlet measures 8.5" (22 cm).

Materials:

  • home dec or quilting fabric scraps, interfacing

You Will Also Need:

  • 22" zipper, 7"zipper, lobster swivel clasp (optional), d-ring (optional),
