Thanks for asking, Janey. The checkbook sized one is pretty much the same except the size. The tablet clutch size is very different. I will add some projects here on Craftsy that show off the front pocket more, so you can see how it works. I have been using the tablet clutch wallet for a while now, it is all I carry. I get a lot of compliments on it. I hope that helps!

I like this bag but I would like to make mine with quilted fabric. Would that work? Is that included in the instructions? Also would the smaller bag hold the iphone 5 in a case? Thank you!

Yes, there is quilting involved already. In mine you can't see it because it is on the inside. You could make it on the outside. If you want to make it of patchwork fabric, that can work too.
Yes the smaller one of these - the checkbook size - does fit the iPhone 5 in a case. Thanks for asking. Sorry I did not get this message until today. Craftsy only sends me messages once a week.
