The checkbook size will fit your phone. If you are worried about it, do step 4 first, making the outside pocket for the phone. You can test the fit before you have made a whole bag.

I need to see more pictures. There is no picture of the back or front of the Checkbook Wallet. I wanted to see which direction the front and back pockets were. Some areas are hard to figure out. Like some things are left out. But it is looking good so far.

The zippered side should be closest to the spine. You can make the zipper go whichever direction you want. You can always email me with questions and I can get back to you. If you go to studiocherie.com, you can see more wallets already made. I hope that helps!

I finished it and I love it. I hit a few bumpy spots but I can see more clearly now where I went wrong. I made notes on my pattern so I will do it right next time. I am the only one who would know though. I think I was too generous with my seams because my checkbook does not fit.
I added two loops with D-rings on either side of the spine and added an adjustable strap so I can carry it cross body. LOVE IT!
Will see if I can share a picture on your web site.
Can't wait to make the Tablet Case. Love your pattern.

Karen, thanks for posting the photo on Facebook. I really love your idea. I just had a customer request one made like yours too. You might want to double check your printed pattern pieces against the sizes written on them. I am wondering if your printer may have shrunk them slightly in length. I am sorry your checkbook doesn't fit. The tablet case will have lots of room for everything for sure.

Cherie,
I am happy you liked my idea. It is wonderful to wear cross body and have my hands free to shop. No worrying about someone grabbing my purse in the cart either.
I will check my pattern size. May need to adjust the printer size. Still love it.

Hi,
I just bought you pattern and printed the pattern pieces. My printer cut off the top of the pages. If I change it from 100% to 97% it shows the whole page. Don't want to change the size though. Any suggestions?
Thank You,
Karen
p.s. can't wait to make these!

Never mind.....I had printed it before I downloaded it. Once I opened the download and chose print it was perfect.

Very cute :) I already own your small zip wallet pattern. Is this more or less the same, only larger? Thank you :)

Thanks for asking, Janey. The checkbook sized one is pretty much the same except the size. The tablet clutch size is very different. I will add some projects here on Craftsy that show off the front pocket more, so you can see how it works. I have been using the tablet clutch wallet for a while now, it is all I carry. I get a lot of compliments on it. I hope that helps!

I like this bag but I would like to make mine with quilted fabric. Would that work? Is that included in the instructions? Also would the smaller bag hold the iphone 5 in a case? Thank you!

Yes, there is quilting involved already. In mine you can't see it because it is on the inside. You could make it on the outside. If you want to make it of patchwork fabric, that can work too.
Yes the smaller one of these - the checkbook size - does fit the iPhone 5 in a case. Thanks for asking. Sorry I did not get this message until today. Craftsy only sends me messages once a week.
