Pattern Description:
Make these stuffed yo-yo fashion accessories out of cotton, silks and/or velvets. Once these little gems are embellished with beads, buttons and ribbons you can create a necklace, bracelet or attach them to a collar or cuff. Cluster them together for a brooch to place on apparel, a hat or a purse. Approximate finished yo-yo sizes range from 1" to 2".
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- Necklace - 7" long by 1" wide Bracelet - 5" to 8" long by 1" wide Cluster pin - 3 1/2" by 2 1/2" Round pin - 3 1/2" dia.
Materials:
- 3 to 5 coordinating fat quarters or fabric pieces; no smaller then 7" sq.
- 1 pkg. Wrights 1/4" wide twill tape or ribbon (silk, grosgrain or satin)
- Beads, buttons and bits of lace for embellishing
- Thread for tufting (contrasting and/or matching)
- Fabri-Tac glue by Beacon Adhesives
- Ball button for bracelet
- Embroidery needle
- Embroidery floss
- Polyester stuffing
- Jewelry pliers
- Fabric marker
- Card stock
- Sheet of felt for backing
