Pattern Description:

This fun lined tote can be pieced from quilting cottons or try the denim version accented with heart appliqus and a convenient outside pocket with pocket flap. The tote's box bottom allows for extra room for your favorite sewing supplies or books. Finished size is approximately 9-1/2" x 12-1/2" excluding handles.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 9-1/2" x 12-1/2" excluding handles.

Materials:

  • Light to dark values of brown, 24 squares - 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" each
  • 2 different fabric strips (bottom), 2" x 10" each
  • 2 fabric strips (handles) - 2" x 18" each
  • Light weight blue denim - 2/3 yards
  • Red and pink scraps (heart appliqu)
  • 2 pieces of fusible fleece or batting, 13 1/2" x 23" each
  • 2 batting strips (handles), 2 1/2" x 19" each
  • Quilter's plastic sheet
  • General sewing/quilting items
