Pattern Description:

Every child can enjoy a doll diaper bag or tote bag! They can fill them with items to take care of their cute dolls or little brother/sister! They can also tote toys like trucks, tools, paper supplies anything the little ones need to carry. This is a trendy diaper bag that is beginner friendly and playfully friendly for the experienced seamstress.

Allow me to introduce this pattern item. This trendy diaper bag is spin on a doll diaper bag that my mom purchased for me over twenty years ago. She was insightful enough to keep this "keepsake" for me and I am completely grateful. I enjoyed taking care of my dolls when I was younger and feel it was a great way to prepare to be a mom one day. Now that I am a mom, my little girl and little boy, along with many other family and friend's children, play with that classic diaper bag. Since learning and loving to sew, I decided that I wanted to create a bag with an updated look to purchase as well as a pattern for someone to enjoy sewing their own versions of my trendy diaper bag and tote bag.

Thank you again for your purchase. Hopefully this will be a great guide for you to sew up these trendy bags snappy.

  • 10" strip of Elastic 11" x 18" medium loft Batting 1/2 Yard of Interfacing (based on 20" WOF) - I suggest a fusible fleece and a medium weight interfacing combo 1 1/2" Yards of Fabric (I suggest getting three different varieties of fabric and mixing them together. This way you have some contrast as in the pictures on cover and back cover... three different fabric prints will make it even more colorful!)
