Hi Ms. Elaineous, I love your pattern, i have made a previous zippered wallet but my smart phone was a bit of a squeeze....this should be perfect.. Living in Spain there are a lot of pick pockets and when you go to the market wearing this on a lanyard is perfect...no gets near your money or phone hahaha Thanks again xx Jules

Excellent and thank you! I'm a big fan on understanding and mastering techniques - so once you get those, the pattern starts to make sense. Plus...the zipper is so much easier than other zippers I've done. BTW, I love Spain! I went there six years ago with a university student tour group (I each college). It was beautiful (in March) - colorful and sunny. And you can't beat getting a bowl of olives when you order a beer!

This pattern is actually rather brilliant--if you can figure out how to put it together correctly. I consider myself to be a pretty competent sewer, and I found this pattern to be downright maddening at times. I found myself having to read and re-read directions, and I still mangled a zipper beyond repair after misunderstanding the steps involving bias tape.
Again, the pattern itself is extremely clever IF you manage to get it all together correctly. There are no raw edges, no hand sewing, and all the remaining raw edges are enclosed when you attach the zipper gusset. But, getting to that step was frustrating. For future patterns, I'd recommend taking pictures, especially of the complicated steps, to include in the pattern. The free tutorials are nice, but it would also be helpful to not need to jump between multiple documents to get the necessary information.

Hi ThisDizzyGirl! Thanks for the feedback. Where, specifically, did you have problems? I'll see if I can go in and make it clearer. Part of the problem of designing a pattern is balancing the needs of people who like lots of pictures with the needs of people who don't! And I'm still trying to figure it out! Be sure to add your picture of your wallet!
