This girls' hairband was inspired by the series "Land Girls". It is simple to make, and even a beginner at machine sewing will find it easy.
You could wear the band with the bow on the front, side or back, depending on your mood.
There are three different styles of ties in the pattern: curved, single-point or double-point.
The pattern contains actual size pattern pieces for the ties, and instructions that include some photographs. The band is made in three sections, with elastic under the ties. This means it more comfortable, and you can make slight adjustments in size. The bow is purely decorative. It also means you don't need a really long bit of fabric to make the band, and you can use up all sorts of oddments to make a lovely selection of hairbands to match every outfit.
I have always liked making things, and although I have been knitting a lot recently, I also like sewing and other crafts.
I live on the outskirts of London, and work part-time at a local school, and have partly got back into making things because my children are always doing something creative. At school I love the days when we get really messy.
