Pattern Description:

The Commissionaire Bag is the perfect size bag for every day use without being overloaded, weighed down or unorganized. The Commissionaire Bag has button and elastic loop closures, one exterior pocket, four interior pockets (the largest is padded and fits a Macbook or similar sized laptop perfectly) a key fob and utility strap for keeping all of your important items within easy reach.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 10"x15"x3"

Materials:

  • 1 yard laminated cotton, home-dec weight fabric or canvas
  • 1 yard quilters cotton for lining or 2 or 3 fat quarters
  • 1 yard fusible, single-sided heavyweight interfacing
  • 1 yard fusible fleece
  • 1/2 yard single-sided fusible Peltex
  • 1- 1 1/2" metal slide
  • 2- 1 1/2" rectangle rings
  • 1- 3/4" leash clip
  • 1- 3/4" rectangle ring
  • 3- 5/8"+ buttons
  • 3 elastic hair bands or 1/3 yard of 1/8" elastic
  • 2- 1 1/2" leash clips (optional)
  • Plastic canvas scrap, approximately 3"x16" (optional)
  • Liquid Stitch glue (optional)
  • 1 3/4 yards of 1 1/2" nylon webbing (optional)

You Will Also Need:

  • fabric marking pen
  • sewing machine needles (size 12 or 14 sharps)
  • rotary cutter
  • acrylic ruler
  • cutting mat
  • sewing machine
  • iron
  • ironing board
  • press cloth
  • binding clips (optional)
  • seam ripper
  • sewing pins
  • walking foot, if using laminated cotton

Had a chance to pattern test for this one. LOVED the way it all came together. Easy to follow instructions. And its a project you can start and finish in one day. Using it now and getting tons of compliments on it.
