Pattern Description:

The basic beanie. A classic playful hat - and so very adaptable. Wear it with the brim up or down. Use a variety of fabrics for a scrappy look - or embellish a solid with a bit of embroidery. I used the free Sly Cat embroidery pattern reduced in size to fit on one panel of the hat. Add a tassel. Or maybe a pompom. Make one for yourself - and a matching one for a friend.

You'll get a full-sized pattern in sizes to fit men, women, kids, and American Girl dolls, complete sewing instructions with loads of step by step photos, and links to videos teaching you all the skills you'll need to complete the project.

It'll probably take you 3-4 hours to finish the hat - not counting extra time spent on embroidery or other embellishment.

Materials:

1/4 yard each of main fabric and lining fabric
14-27 inches 5/8 inch wide grosgrain ribbon (amount depends on size)
