Love this pattern but I'm stuck on the last part. Not sure where the "opening" is supposed to be in order to turn and top stitch. Any suggestions would be great!

I have not made this yet as I just bought the pattern last night. I have read over the pattern though. I noticed you posted a picture of the finished product so you might have figured it out already. It looks like for one side you sew all the way around in a continuous line starting from the top of one strap, going all the way down to the top of the bag, then turning to sew across the top, then turning to go back up the other strap. Then on the other side you do the same except this time instead of going all the way across the top of the bag (where you would normally have a snap or zipper) you stop sewing, leave a gap, and then pick back up o the other side of the top and continue to sew up the other strap. On page 7 I believe there is a diagram that shows two red dotted lines. You sew where the dotted lines are and stop sewing where they end to make the gap. I hope this isnt too confusing and helps you in some way. If you do happen to need anymore help you can send me a message and when I start this bag tomorrow I will take pictures of this step and send them to you.

Hi. Could you please tell me what brand and type of interfacing you used. Is it woven or non-woven? I really like the bag and look forward to making it. Thank you.

I just spent a very enjoyable afternoon making the small bag, and I *love* it. I squoze it out of a five-pack of fat quarters; had to piece the strap and used some solid-colour cotton fabric I had on hand for the zipper pockets, so I guess it was "five fat quarters and a bit."

I made one modification: I put small snap hooks on a cord into each of the slip pockets to attach keys to. Also I think if - when! - I make it again, I'll include a magnetic snap to close the top edge. In fact, I may take the top edges apart gently and insert the magnetic snap ... I would like it to have a fastener.

LOVE this! Thank you.

So glad you liked it, the magnetic snaps are a great idea!

Thanks - but - I think I'm re-thinking the snaps, because they would make the bag *non*reversible, and I really enjoy the reversability.

So now I'm thinking two pretty buttons, one on the "inside" and one on the "outside," with a loop closure...

Good idea! At the moment, I'm not putting anything on it - waiting to see how it works.

I'm looking for the pattern to have it here in Poland but it's so expensive:(can you tell me where I could find a similar pattern for free? I have been looking for the bag to sew for a month!!!BTW I love the colours of the earthy bag:)

This pattern is not expensive at all, and it is rude to ask for a free pattern suggestion here. It is a great pattern, totally with it.

I think she is asking because in Poland the cost is over $20.00.
