The Eleanor is an ultra-roomy, droopy, slouchy, comfortable hobo purse/bag. It's relatively easy & quick to sew too! It includes a zippered pocket inside and the main compartment is roomy enough to fit everything you need, and probably more.

I try to keep my patterns as straight forward as possible. I include simple drawings, and sometimes photos. I am available via email if you run into any trouble.

You MAY sell bags you make with this pattern.

Have fun and feel free to email me with any questions/feedback! aliciavr6@gmail.com. www.swoonpatterns.com

Excellent Eleanor Slouchy Hobo Bag  August 21, 2013

I am sitting here beaming at my beautiful new bag! I seriously love this pattern and the results of it. I have only been sewing for a year, and this pattern was easy to follow. There were a few spots where the pictures did come very much in handy, as the step involved something I had not done before. It is very important to read all of the instructions before beginning. For example, the seam allowance on the lining piece is slightly bigger than the exterior piece, so make sure to be aware of ...

Excellent Paco Bean Eleanor bag  August 19, 2013

A great pattern with clear & concise information. The step by step instructions are easy to follow and the illustrations help with the tricky parts.
As a seasoned seamstress I found this pattern good fun to stitch as there were elements that I had no previous experience of.
I'm very proud with the end result & I already have another in the make.
A fab bag with plenty of room. Mine is going strong & fits everything in that I ever need, be it for going out with my toddler (wipes, ...

Excellent Bigger than it looks and holds SO MUCH!  August 16, 2013

I made this bag out a hand stamped lotus fabric a friend made me and I love how it turned out! My day care lady loved it so much I am actually in the process of making another one! It is light enough that it is easy to carry without feeling overburdened yet holds SO much that my almost 10 year old was able to use it as an overnight bag for camp! I have also been asked to use this pattern to make unique one of a kind bags out of fabric brought to the States from Ghana to sell as a fundraiser to ...

I'm a graphic designer by trade and fell in love with sewing many years ago. I think it was a natural path for me to mesh the two and start drafting my own patterns. There's nothing I like sewing together more than bags! www.swoonpatterns.com
