Simple Shoulder Tote Strip Tote
Simple Shoulder Tote Center Panel Tote
Simple Shoulder Tote Inside Pocket

Pattern Description:

The Simple Shoulder Tote is a great bag! Quick and easy to assemble and the perfect pattern for a beginner to find success!
It is fully lined with no exposed seams. The long shoulder handles and an inside pocket make it a very versatile and practical tote to take anywhere.

I use this pattern to teach a Sewing 201 class because it gives the beginner practice with the basics - cutting straight strips, sewing accurate seams, working with fusibles, topstitching, attaching a pocket and making a lining.

The pattern includes full color pictures that accompany most of the steps and has options for two different styles of totes: the Strip Tote and the Center Panel Tote. Each tote has its own fabric requirements and cutting instructions, but the assembly instructions are the same.

Happy Sewing!!!
