This is a beatiful handbag to design for yourself or a friend. I have made several for my friends and they love it. The cardinal design on one of my bags with given to a close friend who loves cardinals. Simply sketch a favorite design on the top of the handbag and machine quilt.
Check your fabric stash and design a beautiful quilted handbag with your choice of fabrics. The designs can be endless.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 16" (40.64 cm) wide x 12" (30.48 cm) high with a 2" (5.08 cm) gusset

Materials:

  • Bag top and handles: 44/45" Fabric 1/2 of a yard Linen, Quit or Home Dec
  • Quilted Bottom/Pocket: Strips of quilt fabric 7" x width of your material (two strips)
  • Lining Fabric: 1/2 of a yard of 44/45" fabric
  • 1 Piece of single fold bias tape 34" long
  • Interfacing and Fleece
  • 1 Magnetic Snap
  • Sewing MachineThread, Machine Quilting Thread
  • Dritz Fray Check(tm)
  • Stabilizer if applying embroidered design

You Will Also Need:

  • Disappearing Sewing Marker, Rotary Cutter, Cutting Mat, Ruler, Scissors, Pins
