Just made a 12X12 bag this evening. It is fairly easy to make. The vinyl was challenging for me but tissue paper helped a lot - just more fussing. Next one I might try a quilted fabric for the back and maybe for all pieces so that the bag doesn't have exposed fusible fleece (there is no lining). I think having one vinyl piece in the front would be fine. I believe the vinyl I used was 8 gauge. Used Pellon fusible fleece - 987F.

I just realized that the pattern calls for Pellon 809 fusible interfacing -guess it pays to read everything before starting the project :-) This makes more sense than the fusible fleece I used in error. DON'T USE FUSIBLE FLEECE!

This is a great pattern. Very easy to sew and I love the end result. I have made two already and have lots more planned as they are so useful. It is easy to change the pattern to make different sizes to the ones given. Highly recommend!

What weight of vinyl & what type of interfacing did you use?

Where I live (Israel) we don't have vinyl sold by weight. I used a vinyl which is often used as a tablecloth cover. And I just used a regular light weight interfacing. If you use homedec fabric or denim you can even skip the interfacing.

Love this pattern. I have loads more planned. They are great for keeping toys with lots of parts together.
