I'm finding out that people are using all kinds of different names for all kinds of hats. So I'm not sure about my statement now. IDK I guess that's how words and definitions change?

His is a flat cap, or a British driving cap, a news boy cap has 8 panels that make up, the crown, cool cap tho.

Hello Michael,
Thank you for your information! It is new for me and I think many people didn't know that! We call this hat "hunting" in Japan and I had to take some time to researching English name.
Although, I think It's better to keep this listing name because of i'm using long time.
Thanks so much again!

I'm trying to open this with my iPad, I have downloaded other patterns on it through iBooks, when I try to download this pattern it says it's a zip pattern and it will not let me upload to iBooks, any suggestions?

Hello. Sorry for your inconvenient.

For ipad, I think you need app for open ZIP file (like iZIP : https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/izip-zip-unzip-unrar-tool/id413971331?mt=8).

But, you can find the same pattern data on my blog as pdf file here:
http://tmblr.co/ZsHgpttLbfxa

For opening pdf file, you need acrobat reader app (https://itunes.apple.com/en/app/adobe-reader/id469337564?mt=8)

I hope it helps you.
If you still have trouble, please contact me again.
Thank you again for your interest in my pattern.

Hello, I'm very excited to get started on your pattern however when I click to open the downloaded file it says it can not be opened. Is this pattern still available or is there somewhere else I can get it?

Hi, thank you for this lovely pattern. I am sewing a muslin but I am in need of further instructions. How does the side cap piece line up with the Upper cap piece. The upper cap piece is bigger. Do I have to do any easing of the side cap piece to get it to line up? Any help will be much appreciated.

Hello,
Sorry for your problem.

I measure the lines again on my software, and I confirm that the lengths on both lines are same (+- under 0,8mm). So, there are no ease.
Maybe you connected wrong lines?? I added an extra photo for explanation, please refer it.

Also please check again the width of seam allowance. the seam allowance of my pattern is 1,2cm. If you use incorrect width, the lengths will not match up.

I hope it will help you.
If you still have any question, please contact me.
Thanks again for using my pattern.

I am so confused about your instructions.. I have it sewn what I see to be correct but either I am missing a step or something. I can not figure out what to do with the sides and I have the front now to deal with that I have no idea where it attaches. I do not know where to attach the brim as there is no place at the moment to do so. Please advise. Thanks

Hello,
Sorry for your confusing.
I added an extra photo for explanation to matching up on the pattern page here. ->>

I hope it will help you.
Many people sewed it up with the original instruction without problem, so it will be OK.

If you still have any question, please contact me.
Thanks again for using my pattern.
