I'm almost done making this! I just have to sew a bonding around the edge...I chose to use Dick cloth rather than oil cloth.(couldn't find any I liked at the local craft store). It's looking awesome! I did alter the pattern some though. I added an extra card slot and a card slot it the back where the check book goes. I used a layer of clear vinyl to stabilize sandwiched between two layers of the outer fabric. I'll share pica ones I'm completely done..got side tracked by nods. Lol.

I have gone through paypal twice for this project and the sale hasn't completed. The end screen says congratulations on your purchase but then the payment hasn't gone through. I would really like this pattern.

what is the finished size of this??
I bought this and it looks wonderful. However it would be helpful if somewhere you listed the total fabric requirement (i.e. 1/2 yd, 1 yd, etc...) not just the sizes of all the pieces required.
I purchased material this weekend. I found an interesting laminated cotton that different motifs and color ways, which is really nice because I only had to buy yardage from one bolt and still got great contrast. Anyway, the bolt wasn't wide, maybe 22 inches, and I got a half yard. It was perfect. A little leftover, but not much.
I purchased the pattern, downloaded it, and now Adobe is saying that the file is damaged and that it cannot be opened. Is there something special I need to do?
Hmm. Nevermind. I saved it to my desktop instead of to Firefox and opened it from there, and it worked fine! Sorry for the false alarm. :)

You could email it to a friend and have her print it for you...or save the file to a memory stick and take it to your local print shop or public library and do it there.
I made this pattern and it is so amazing! People ask me about it all the time. I used laminated cotton, and it turned out great. Thanks for this wonderful alternative for the envelope system!!
