Pattern Description:

This bag pattern is a fun funky messenger bag. Actually- its TWO. The pattern includes two sizes:
Military Mailbag- 10" x 16" x 6"
Express Mailbag- 9" x 9" x 4"

Both bags have interior drop-in pockets, an interior welt-zipper pocket, and two elastic pockets on the exterior sides. It is a GREAT diaper bag option.

The Express Mailbag can be made from pre-cut fabric layer cakes! (Layer Cakes are bundles of fabric cut to 10" square) The Military Mailbag is made from cut yardage, but can easily be adapted to fat quarters. (Fat Quarters are fabric cuts measuring 18" x 22") Fabric yardage requirements are provided for working with a uniform, or working with traditional fabrics.

This pattern from ReannaLily Designs also includes directions for breaking down a military uniform and using it in your new bag design. See more of this style in Deploy That Fabric, a pattern book written by Jen, the owner of ReannaLily Designs.
