I was inspired to create this beautiful bag a few years ago when Amy Butler released this beautiful fabric in her Soul Blossoms Rayon line. I loved the fabric with the borders on each side which allows you to create contrast bands and handles with the border fabric. I came up with this fun Michelle Handbag. After many requests for the sewing pattern, I finally was able to release the new Michelle Handbag pattern available here.
For those of you who have purchased my patterns know I don't just give you one choice with your patterns. I wanted to come up with analternative design using the same basic pattern with some added accent ribbon. There are some beautiful ribbons now available on the market which match many fabrics available today.
The Ribbon Accented Bag was made with Amy Butler's Renaissance Ribbon and her beautiful Alchemy Queen Anns Butterflies in Topaz!
This handbag also makes a beautiful diaper bag for the new mom to be.

I have always had a desire to create. My interest in sewing started very young sitting by my grandmother's sewing machine watching her sew. I was fascinated by how things were put together. I have been sewing and creating for over 30 years. My first sewing pattern was published in 2008 and I have not stopped since.
The Aggie Wristlet/Clutch pattern was just featured in the Anna Griffin, Inc. Quiltmarket 2013 in Portland, OR. You can read more about it on my blog! It was an honor.
