Basic Skills Necessary:

  • This pattern is pretty basic, if you read through and follow slowly, it should be fairly easy.

Pattern Description:

I created this Mary Messenger for a daughter of a friend as she began her first year of college. Since then, I have made many of these bags for everyone from college and high school girls to moms to be. I finally decided it was time to share our pattern with our fellow seamstresses.

I enjoy mixing and matching a funky array of fabrics. Never getting too matchy if possible. This bag can be created in all one fabric or several different ones. It's also fun to make a flap in a mix of fabrics patchworked together.

The large size of this messenger bag gives you plenty of room, but not excessively huge. I love mine for theme park use, day trips and more.

*interfaced for a nice structure
