If you have worn a Disney Magic Band you know that sometimes they are not the most comfortable and some are allergic to the materials but not you can make a comfortable cover than slips on the Magic Band so that you have soft flannel next to your skin. You can use different types of fabric, which I go into in the pattern. The other great thing about this pattern is that it doesn't cover the Mickey head that you need to see to line it up with the touch points in the park. You won't have to stand there twisting your arm all around trying to get the thing to read your Band, just touch the Mickey to the Mickey touchpoint and in you go, like FastPass+ was meant to be.
I have a full adult size and a child size Magic Band template//pattern for you to print out to size your cover on in case you don't have your MB yet. There are color photographs and diagrams along with easy step-by-step directions to make your own covers. Make them for the whole family! Full size pattern pieces are included, ready to print.
You only need a very small amount of fabric to make one so buy the pattern and get started right now! Your pattern is available for download immediately after paying, no waiting! I know you're busy, and you have a Disney vacation to plan. You can easily make this in under an hour.
Fabric needed: Fat Quarter or remnant of each fabric for the top, lining, and backing. I suggest something soft for the back, such as flannel. It feels much better next to your skin than the plasticky rubbery stuff the MB is made of. Scissor, sewing machine, and thread also needed. It would be possible to sew this by hand if you don't have a machine.
I love to make things that I like to use, so I have a wide variety of patterns as a result of that. I have sewn for more years than I care to admit to...let's just say, for decades. I enjoy making patterns and sharing them with others. I try very hard to make them as easy to understand as I can. It is my hope that this is a way of helping others make things they like to use too.
