Debby, the pad is attached. That way you don't have to try to figure out where to set the wipes. Yes a nappie or two will fit in the zippered pouch along with the wipes. Thanks for asking! Cherie

I can't tell if the pad is actually attached to the bag (or is it part of the bag?, or do you stuff the pad into the bag?) and is there room in the bag for a nappie (diaper) or two?

Hi there, just wondering if this might be useful with two straps and in a 'manly' material to be used as a napsack kind of way?

I have made them in manly fabrics. Two straps would be overkill though because it is pretty small. The pattern includes instructions for a long adjustable strap. Hope that helps! Cherie
