Pattern Description:

Sew a pretty & practical grocery bag using this simple SEWING PATTERN (3 sizes).

This is the most popular pattern in my shop. The bags are easy to make, take only about an hour to sew (1 hour each size), and you will use them ALL THE TIME.

The large bag is BIG. When full it is pushing the weight limit of what I like to carry. The medium bag is about the same size as the plastic bags grocery stores give out. The small bag is perfect for when you just need a handful of items, or use it as a lunch bag.

This bag is:

Easy to load - fits on bag holders used by many stores.
Easy to carry - wide handles distribute weight.
Simple to clean - machine wash & dry.
Folds to a nice size - easy to pack inside another bag.
Reversible - line in a second fun fabric.
Fully lined - looks great and makes the bag twice as sturdy.
Durable - double stitched seams & reinforced handles.

You will receive instructions with text descriptions and color photos. The pattern piece for the handles is included. Bag body is a square piece you will draw directly on your fabric (dimensions given).

  • Small - 12" x 10" x 4" (30 x 25 x 10 cm)

I'm interested in all sorts of arts and crafts, but these days I stick to sewing, with the occasional outburst of embroidery. Someday I'd like to learn to knit and/or crochet, but for now I'm just about being buried alive in fabric! Adding more supplies is probably not a good idea...
