NW Sewing Mom
By the way. To free the fur from my seam alliance, I use a stiff brush. Actually a flat type dog brush with the little plastic beads at the end if the bristles. Just brush away and the fur frees from the SA. Hope that helps.
The piece that is missing looks like a rectangle. Putting it together it fits about a 22.5 inch head. not much ease. I used a 7 X 14 rectangle and that fits around the curves and gives enough room to fix my head. I think I will add another inch to the width making it 8 X 14 and this way it will be looser. Hope that helps with the missing pattern piece.
Oh and I used a 1/4 inch seam allowance. Just trace around her pattern another 1/4 inch if you want to end up with 1/2 inch.
Thank you, there aren't any instructions to make this hat and I noticed the piece is missing. I will try the 8x14 piece. thank you so much. :)
Scroll down in comments. There s a link to instructions apparently.
Did you leave seam allowance?
stang finishings :only two of four pages appear ? No instructions? what up with this?
I downloaded this pattern (3 times) but only pages one and two will populate. Please help me I think I have filled in most of the blanks but would like to be sure.
Are there instructions for putting the hat together? Also on the Sides piece, does it get cut on the fold? How much seam allowance?
Thank you very much for clearing up any confusion I had about the pattern. I especially appreciate you getting back to us so quickly. The fur will be flying soon!!
Hello. To all of you ladies who commented about the remaining pattern pieces, go to http://seekatesew.com/?p=284. The top piece is not in the printable pattern section. The top piece is a rectangle that you make according to size. The other piece is to create the ties. You can get all the instructions at the site I put in this comment.
There is no answer as to wether the "side " piece is cut on the fold? Info for this isn't on the blog. The arrows indicate possible, but I have to guess the answer is yes since the side piece pattern alone isn't big enough.
Also the earflaps are cut on the fold even though it did not state. I recommend cutting a mirror image pattern piece to this and the side piece and taping them together to cut with the fur. Fur is hard to cut on the fold and makes a mess.
I see that the pattern is missing 2 pages. I would love to make this hat. Could you please add the missing pattern pieces?
Hi Kate--Will it be possible to get the other two pages of this pattern. All I have right now are the front flap, sides, and earflaps. Would love to make this.

I have been looking everywhere for a pattern like this. Was excited until I saw it's missing half of the pattern. Seems like I'm not the only one having this issue. Thank goodness it was free.
Hi there - I love this pattern and really want to make it but it's missing the front piece (not flap) from the pattern. :-(
your pattern is only giving me front flap sides and ear flap where the rest of the pattern?
About the trapper hat, did you ever get the rest of the pattern & directions? I also only got part of it.
