Nice pattern. I wanted a hat to shade my eyes when driving, so I omitted the stylish angle shown on the right and also omitted the band around the outside. My version is really basic. I also interfaced the brim with heavy-weight interfacing (not the thick stuff) instead of using millinery wire. I made from some subdued quilting stash and lined with plain cotton broadcloth. This hat is large enough to tuck my ponytail in and to shade my face from the sun when I pull the brim down. I really like it. I chose this pattern because the crown is round, not boxy. I'm quite satisfied with this pattern and future possibilities with it! Thanks, Elsewhen.
