This detachable collar PDF sewing pattern shows you how to make a detachable collar. The collar is oversized with an exaggerated pointy edge, ties in the front with a ribbon, and looks great layered over shirts and dresses. Sew them and sell them in your shop!

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Measures 16" around the inner edge, but has a custom fit with the ribbon tie in the front
  • Collar extends 5" in the front from neckline to point

Materials:

  • 1/4 yard or less of woven fabric (like cotton, silk, polyester or wool)
  • 2 feet of 1/2" wide ribbon
  • Optional: fusible interfacing if you're using sheer fabric

You Will Also Need:

  • Notions: thread, scissors, tailors chalk, pins, needle and point turner (or something long with a point like a knitting needle or chopstick)
